→ Japanese
In 1969, when I first arrived in Tokyo, Japan's society, similar to Germany's, was still fully occupied in overcoming the aftereffects of a lost war. Coming from a Prussian family, values such as loyalty, responsibility, honesty and belief in hard work were familiar and reassuring characteristics to be found in Japan. Luckily all of the above values continue to be present, but nowadays they have been further enhanced by a realization that life is too short to be spent entirely in hard work.
Japan's consumer of the 21st century has come of age and reached a degree of sophistication and knowledge unmatched throughout the world. To succeed in Japan today means success anywhere else in the world tomorrow. A unique blend of Japanese and foreign management provides our conceptual basis to stay abreast of competition and face the challenge of any future global changes.
We, the members of the Nicole Group of Companies, have a common dream. We want to achieve more than merely succeed in this extremely competitive market. We want to excel in whatever we do because, as I learned in my earlier days as a racing driver, merely succeeding means finishing a race. But only by exceeding, do you win a race. Another thing I learned is that you never win a race on your own, but only through solid communication and cooperation with your partners. We are fortunate to be serving a select group of excellent customers and look forward to their continued cooperation and constructive criticism in our ongoing mutual search for Excellence.
